We’re not normally ones to boast but, wow, what a superb few months of press coverage we’ve achieved for our client, SimpleTax.
As part of our PR services, we regularly send detailed PR evaluations and analysis to our clients. We do this to show the financial value of the publicity we have secured for them.

Unusual assignments and quirky photo opportunities are all part and parcel of a career as a journalist.
Here at Bloomin’ Creative, both of us (Danielle and Colette) are former newspaper hacks who cut our teeth in print media.
Having solid journalism experience is something that’s really important to us at Bloomin’ Creative. We believe our combined years of newsroom experience gives us our dynamic USP as a full-service public relations and marketing agency in Cumbria.
As Bing, Dean and Frank keep telling us – it’s the most wonderful time of the year! And we certainly agree, because we’re a tad crazy for Christmas, here at Bloomin’ Creative.
If we had an open fire, we’d now be roasting chestnuts on it. But alas, we have central heating. So, instead, we’ll settle for decking our halls with boughs of holly and opening the windows of our chocolate-filled advent calendars (yet another reason to love December!)
Speaking of advent calendars, we’re giving a fabulously festive gift to all our lovely Twitter followers throughout December, as we’re bringing our PR-themed advent calendar back again this year.
At Bloomin’ Creative, we’re immensely proud of our journalism roots. We look at every aspect of our PR campaigns with a journalist’s head on our shoulders. We believe this is the key to success in the press for our clients. Whether it’s B2B or B2C public relations, with coverage in local press, editorials in trade titles, guest posts on target blogs or product placement in national magazines and newspapers. Whatever the end goals is, looking at everything from a journalist’s perspective is our USP here at Bloomin’ Creative and something we pride ourselves on.
Our copywriter, Colette, cut her teeth as journalist for one of the country’s biggest regional newspaper groups, before moving into corporate PR and communications, working with brands such as IPC Magazines, Gower Publishing, Sun Life of Canada, McVities, KP Snacks and the Health and Safety Executive.
Journalism and PR go together hand in hand and we’ve both experienced some weird and wonderful situations throughout our careers as journalists. Here, Bloomin’ Creative copywriter Colette talks us through her highlights as a hack.
Ever wondered what it’s like being ‘top dog’ at a PR agency? Well, wonder no more! Meet Poppy – the Bloomin’ Creative office mascot who certainly thinks she’s top dog at our Cumbria-based public relations consultancy.
As featured on one of our all-time favourite PR websites, PR Moment, this is a day in the life of one-year-old cockapoo, Poppy Owen-Jones – designated trouble maker, real-life teddy bear, pen stealer extraordinaire and fluff ball of love.
We know the press love a nice ‘good news’ story, especially when it’s about the growth and success of a local business. That’s exactly why we’ve enjoyed spreading the word about PMD’s phenomenal seven year success story.
The Oldham-based business finance firm recently celebrated its seven year anniversary, cementing itself as one of the biggest independent brokers in the UK.
We love all things PR, here at Bloomin’ Creative. But we’re proud of our roots, and our roots are in journalism.
That’s why it was especially nostalgic when we issued a press release for our client, property firm Mason Lord, to the newspaper both our director Danielle AND our new staff copywriter Colette cut their teeth on – the Southport Visiter (yep, spelt with an ‘e’ not an ‘o’ thanks to its interesting heritage as one of the oldest local newspapers in Britain!)
We love being based in the beautiful Lake District, but every now and again, it’s great to enjoy the bright lights of the big city!
On Tuesday, we bid farewell to Cumbria and headed over to Manchester for Marketing On The Menu.
