We’ve been enjoying the glorious weather in Cumbria this weekend, and it inspired us to write about our top tips to make your PR campaign sizzle this summer…
We love being based in the beautiful Lake District, but every now and again, it’s great to enjoy the bright lights of the big city!
On Tuesday, we bid farewell to Cumbria and headed over to Manchester for Marketing On The Menu.
It’s less than a week until Marketing On The Menu – a free event for hospitality firms and food and drink brands that want to learn a little more about all things marketing.
Following the success of the first event in London late last year, Marketing On The Menu is coming to Manchester next Tuesday (28 March). Hospitality businesses are invited to the free seminar held at Great John Street Hotel, with talks by Making You Content, BizWizUK, Webantic and us – Bloomin’ Creative.
Red roses, bottles of champagne, boxes of chocolates and fluffy teddy bears are everywhere, and every time you check your inbox, you’re being inundated with emails promoting deals for romantic escapes and candlelit dinners… Yep, it can only mean one thing – Valentine’s Day is just around the corner.
February is the month of love, and as a small business owner, you can use this opportunity to fall in love with PR. Here are four reasons why we think PR and your business is a match made in heaven.
Written by Danielle Owen-Jones, director of Bloomin’ Creative.
“Hi, thanks for the follow. Perhaps we can connect on LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest too?”
“Good afternoon, many thanks for following. This must mean you’re interested in hiring our sports facilities, can I please call you to discuss?”
“Thanks for the follow – I would be delighted to offer you our PR services. Let’s talk about how we can help you with your PR in 2017.”
My reaction when I open these…?

It’s easy to see why January is a popular time for setting goals – a New Year is always a fantastic opportunity to wipe the slate clean, start again, and set goals for the year ahead. When it comes to marketing and PR activity for small businesses, there are some really quick and easy resolutions you can make (and keep!) to achieve exposure for your business this year.
Did you catch Clean Eating – The Dirty Truth on BBC Two last week?
We found the documentary absolutely fascinating, not least because the clean eating trend has experienced such an extraordinary growth over recent years, but also because it was certainly food for thought from a PR perspective.
Yippee! It’s the 1st of December, which means the Christmas countdown has officially begun!
We’re mad on all things Christmas – here at Bloomin’ Creative – so we thought, what better way to get into the festive spirit than to give our lovely followers a PR-themed advent calendar this year!
Social media can be a tricky business. As a PR agency that helps brands with their reputation both offline and online, we completely understand how businesses can feel overwhelmed by the pressure of not only having a presence online, but getting that presence right.
That’s why we were thrilled to bits when we got a bloomin’ big thumbs up from CN Group’s social media specialist and one of our favourite Cumbrian Columnists, Helen Statham.
In part one of our guide about achieving Bloomin’ Creative PR, we examined using press releases, charity & community sponsorship and awards as effective tactics that can be used to increase awareness of your brand, manage your reputation and spread your company’s key messages. In part two, we’ll look at the following PR techniques:
